Automatic Profile Migrator 3.0
Automatic Profile Migrator (APM 3.0) is used for automatic migration of computer with Windows 2000 SP4 or later to Microsoft Active Directory domain and to move workstations with installed user profiles between domains.
Automatic migration process performs the following activities:
-
Prompts for domain name, user name and password.
-
Chooses local profile, which user wants to be transferred.
-
If computer is already member of the domain then APM removes the computer from that domain.
-
Adds computer to the new domain.
-
Migrates chosen local profile to domain profile or to new domain profile. In other words binds existing local profile to the new domain user or old domain user profile to the new one.
Benefits of using APM 3.0:
-
Automatic migration of working peer-to-peer networks to Active Directory domain.
-
Automatic migration of working networks, in which computers do not belong to Active Directory domains.
-
Automatic migration workstations and profiles stored between Active Directory domains. It doesn'n matter if the trust relationship between domains exists or not.
-
Automatic domain restructuring and moving workstations from demaged ones or not working ones to the new Active Directory structures.
-
Automatic migration of all local profile setting to the new domain user account.
-
The time needed to perform migration is dramatically decreased.
-
Less technicians needed to perform migration project.
